Kathleen E. “Kathie” Taylor, 73, of Buchtel, Ohio passed away October 18, 2015 at her residence. “Kathie” was born November 10, 1941 in Buchtel, Ohio. She attended Buchtel High School; owned and operated Kathie’s Beauty Shop from 1972-2003; and a member of the St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Buchtel. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ray Taylor Sr.; daughters, Teresa (Michael) McCombs of Athens and Patricia Rae Taylor (Bill McDaniel) of Buchtel; grandchildren, John (Rachel) Russell, Brandon Koon (Tiffany Jones), Tyler (Daisy Rae) Barber, Ray G. Taylor III (Schelle Madden), Natasha Rae Taylor, Aarron (Chrissy) Rosser, and Holden Taylor; great-grandchildren, Julia, Shelby, Jack, Elly, Ethan, Amelia, Calvin, George, and Gerald and Kathleen Rosser; step-grandchild, Josh (Stacy) Lewis; step-great-grandchildren, Noah, Joel, and Destiny; sister Rose Doolittle (Mickey Warren) of Buchtel; and special cousin Joe Loudner. “Kathie” was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Roberta Jo Taylor; son Ray G. Taylor Jr.; mother Mary Landis; step-father Robert Landis; in-laws James and Thelma Taylor; and father Jack Tennihill. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, Buchtel, Ohio with Father Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Her wishes were to be cremated after the service. Burial will be in Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Tuesday, October 20, 2015, from 4-8pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville. A Christian Wake Service was held at 7:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
