Kenneth James “Jamie” Smith, age 41, of Murray City, Ohio, passed away October 5, 2022, at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio.
Jamie was born May 1, 1981, in Athens, Ohio to Kenneth Joseph Smith Jr, and Karen Spencer. He graduated from Nelsonville-York High School in 2000; had worked at Anchor Hocking and Rocky Boots; loved playing pool and fishing; and attended all of his daughter’s Archery Tournaments.
Surviving are daughter, Joclynn Smith of Nelsonville; father, Kenneth Joseph (Rhonda) Smith Jr. of Silver Springs, FL.; brother, Stephen (Kayla) Spencer of Glouster; sister, Kimberly (Jason) Lawson of Chauncey; numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and Joclynn’s mother, Jessica Muncy of Nelsonville.
Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Spencer; grandparents, Bill & Adriene Spencer; and Kenneth Smith Sr..
Calling hours were observed 4-6 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Brown Funeral Home in Murray City.
