Kevin Whitmore Sr.

Kevin Michael Whitmore Sr. left this life on earth, peacefully at home, on March 18, 2024.

He was a US Navy veteran. He served in the Blue Blaster Squadron VA-34, aboard the USS America. A former employee of Treehouse Foods of Lancaster, Ohio, Charms, Slim fast, and a former plant manager at Commercial Plastics Recycling of Ravenswood, WV.

Kevin was a good man who loved and cared deeply for his wife, family, and friends. He was always known for his giving heart and his ability to make us laugh.

He leaves behind his wife and soulmate, Christy Hanning Whitmore, with six years of memories and more love than some people experience in a lifetime.

He also leaves his mother, Alberta Vasko; sister, Kathi Whitmore; brothers, Kenny Whitmore of Eaton, Kerry Whitmore of Bucthel, and Kris (Shelia) Whitmore of Murray City; half-siblings, Korey Whitmore and Ryan Smith; children, Kara (Toby) Wilhem TX, and Kevin Whitmore, Jr WV; stepchildren, Trevor (Tina)  Fisher OH, and Jared Fisher WI; grandchildren, Tatum (Aaron) Waldrop, Jocelyn Wilhelm, and Kaitlyn and Kourtney Villeda; great-grandchildren, Wattson and Sutton Waldrop; and many nieces and nephews he loved including special niece, Jamie and special nephews, Keith and Kris, Jr.

Kevin was preceded in death by father, Kenny Whitmore, Sr; daughter, Lisa Whitmore; brother, Kirk Whitmore; special stepfather, Bob Vasko; paternal grandparents, Adrinne Shelton and Eddie Whitmore; and maternal grandparents, Erma Mills and Victor Wetzel.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel, Ohio. Calling hours were observed 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the funeral home.
