Kristina M. Haines, age 55, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away April 23, 2024, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Kristina was born June 22, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio to James and Kathleen Matheny. She loved to do various arts and crafts. Kristina enjoyed being outdoors working in the garden and sitting around the fire with her husband. She took great pleasure in beating Mitch and the family at Yatzee; and family was Kristina’s everything, especially the grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Mitch Haines; children, Larry (Nakayla) Blankenship, Seth (Ashlee) Janey, and Terrance Haines; grandchildren, Dallas Blankenship, Kirsten Blankenship, Lola Francis, Damian Blankenship, Kenna Carder, Kruz Janey, and Kinkade Janey; sisters, Kara (Steve) Bless and Kimberley (Charles) Craig; niece, Kayla Craig; nephews, Shane (Sherry) Ramey, Trey Bless, Chaz (Nakayla) Craig, and Jimmy Allen; great-niece, Addison Gibbs; great-nephews, Calvin Craig and SJ Durette; and dogs, Nanuk, Clover, and Brutus.
Kristina was preceded in death by her parents, James and Kathleen Matheny, and multiple siblings.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Monday April 29, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Ronald Chun officiating. Burial followed at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Sunday April 28, 2024, and 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Monday April 29, 2024, at the funeral home.
