Kyle Gene Smart, 29, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away September 12, 2016 in Easton, Pennsylvania. Kyle was born February 22, 1987 in Lancaster, Ohio. He was a 2005 graduate of Nelsonville-York High School; member of the VFW Auxiliary; cheerleading coach for the World Cup in Pennsylvania and the Ohio Valley All Stars in Parkersburg, West Virginia; and coached for many local cheerleading squads. Surviving are his father, Rick (Melyn) Smart of Nelsonville; mother, Vickie (Jack) Patton of Logan; brothers, Bryan Smart and Hunter Patton, both of Logan; grandparents, Elden and Joyce Smart of Nelsonville and Tom and Pam Odenthal of Nelsonville; grandmother, Julia Savely of New Plymouth; nephew, Tristan Moore of Lancaster; best friend, Jordan Bateman of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandfather, Link Savely; and uncle, Eddie Savely. Funeral services were held at 11:30 am Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Monday, September 19, 2016 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
