Linda Maxine Bailey, Age 82, departed this life and began her new life in heaven on the 29th of November 2024. Linda was born to Paul & May Carpenter on September 1, 1942.
She and her husband, Thurman celebrated 64 years of marriage on July 24, 2024. They have been residents of Hocking County for over 50 years. Linda was an active member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church and later the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was employed at the Goodyear plant until it’s closing, at which time she pursued and obtained a business degree. Linda was quite the personality, lighting the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing for her Lord, as well as spending time with her family and friends, which included family camping, pitching horseshoes, boating, playing cards with the girls, and the list could go on and on, but we have to pay for this.
She is survived by her husband, Thurman Bailey; her son, Mark (Susan) Bailey; her daughter, Pamela (Dan) Moore; her brother, David (Penney) Carpenter; grandchildren, Brittany (John} Anderson, Rebecca (Adam) Richards, Marcus (Rebecca) Bailey, and Jeremiah (Mackenzie) Moore; as well as 8 great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Kalea, Bailey, Jennah, Kinsley, Kalan, Mallory, and Bristol. Linda loved all of her cousins and wanted to give special mention to her best friend, Connie Rager and her adopted daughter of choice, Kristel McMunn.
