Lula Mae Campbell

Lula Mae Campbell 91, of Glouster, Ohio passed away March 18, 2016 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. Lula was born December 4, 1924 in Hunterdon, Ohio to Eldon and Louise Daughtery. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and the Glouster Senior Citizens Center. Surviving are her sons, Billy (Maxine) Campbell of Columbus, and Paul (Linda) Campbell of Hollister; daughters, Louise Wetzel of Athens, Loretta Sue (Jim) Short of Columbus, Carrie Bookman of Corning; 7 grandchildren; 1 step-grandson; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Delilah Cook of Murray City and Anna Lou (Jay) Chapman of Jacksonville; and half brother Jake Bommer of Warnock, Ohio; and friend Deborah Kruetel. Lula was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 50 years, William A Campbell who passed away 1995; son Ronald Campbell; grandson Randy Campbell; great-grandson Skyler Sycks; sister Eileen Williams; and son-in-law William Wetzel. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. David Edgell officiating. Burial was in Hollister Cemetery, Hollister, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Monday, March 21, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funera home. There was an American Legion Auxillary Service Monday at 7 pm. The family suggests donations can be made to Brown Funeral Home to help pay for the funeral expenses.
