Marjorie K. “Margie” Floyd, age 79, of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio, holding her daughter’s hand.

Margie was born August 8, 1945, in Logan, Ohio to John Wesley Schein and Bertha Mildred Lane Schein. She was a graduate of Logan High School and she worked on the production line at Goodyear in Logan from the day it opened, until the day it closed. Margie loved working in her flower beds and feeding the hummingbirds. She was an excellent cook and her beef and noodles, trail bologna and peanut butter fudge were family favorites. She especially loved watching her grandkids grow up and support them in their various activities.

Surviving are her daughter, Jamie (Matt) Green of Logan; her beloved grandchildren, Braden Floyd, Zoe Green, Rozalin White, and Chandler Estep; brother, John (Eileen) Schein of Logan; sister, Jean Conant of Logan; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Duane) Battle of Florida: brother-in-law, Chuck (Augie) Floyd of Heath; sister-in-law, Virginia Vaubel of Hebron; special friend, Bonnie White; and caregiver, Brittny Little.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 41years, Patrick O. “Pat” Floyd; son, Steve Floyd; sisters, Donna (John) Schein Leach, Mary (Dick) Schein Turner, and Bonnie Schein Neff; brother, Bob (Lila) Schein; and brothers-in-law, John Conant, Jack (Jackie) Floyd, Mike (Sharon) Floyd, Bob (Louise) Floyd, and Lamar Vaubel.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Saturday March 1, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 12 noon – 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
