Marjorie M. Davis, 86, of Logan, Ohio passed away August 31, 2023, at her home. Marjorie was born April 19, 1937, in Pickaway County, Ohio to the late Clarence and Louise Dum.
Surviving are her daughter, Crystal (Timothy) Cole of Logan; son, Roger (Derrie) Davis of Junction City; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin (Jaime) Cole, Brooke (Jason) Finck, Daniel (Courtney) Cole, and Ross (Lauren) Davis; 8 great-grandchildren, Parker Cole, Hesston Davis, Adalyn Cole, Bowe Finck, Claire Cole, Keegan Cole, Boone Davis, and Mae Finck; sister, Betty Lou Deeds; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob Davis, Marilyn and Robert Jepsen, Jim and Jan Davis, and Tom Wolf; several nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Marjorie was a 1955 graduate of Laurelville High School and attended Hocking College. She was employed for many years in various positions within the USDA Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service from which she retired. Following this she was employed by the Hocking County Commissioners as a Safety Coordinator. Marjorie was also a former member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Marjorie and her late husband, Don, enjoyed traveling with friends on tours and to shows, with their 1923 Model T Ford and antique John Deere tractors. She also enjoyed attending auctions, and spending time with her family.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 48 years, Don L. Davis; sister, Frances (Toots) Wolf; sisters-in-law, Janet Davis and Mary Davis; and brothers-in-law, Clark Davis and Carl Deeds.
A graveside service was held at 11 am Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, Ohio, 43130.
