Mary Jane Ferguson, age 55, of Glouster, Ohio, passed away October 19, 2023, at her residence.
Mary was born February 27,1968, in Nelsonville, Ohio to James Lee Hook and Ethel Faye Hamilton Hook. She loved coffee, playing games, and her dogs.
Surviving are her loving and supporting partner, Robert Cunningham; daughter, Melissa (Eric) Morgan of Glouster; son, Bradley Moody of McConnelsville; step-daughter, April (Andy) McCloud of Glouster; grandchildren, Skyla (Cleyton) Spangler, Brightin Moody, Brandon Morgan, Blaze Morgan, Carsen Morgan, Aerial Morgan, and Ryker Moody; great-grandchildren, Cleyton Spangler Jr. and Kruz Moody; sisters, Kathy (Benny) Whaley, Debra Hook and Becky Shuster; brothers, Jimmy Hook, David (Mary) Bailey, and Earl Matheny; niece, that was raised as her daughter, Thelma Moody; great-nieces, that were raised as granddaughters, Aaliyah Harvey, Sierra Bullock, and Shyann Bullock; best friend of 27 years, Sally Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Lenigar; and nephews, Michael Moody and Terry Moody Jr..
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday October 24, 2023, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Pastor Elijah Brooks officiating. Burial was in Hook Cemetery, Glouster, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 10 am to 1 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with Mary’s funeral expenses.
