Mary Louise Shover, age 84, of Athens, Ohio, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on February 19, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family in Athens, Ohio.

Mary was born on November 4, 1940, in Athens County to Floyd C. and Katherine E. Brooks. Mary was a member of Nelsonville Holiness Church. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Mary was always a very selfless person who always put her family and others first, so “well done good and faithful servant.”

Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Witham and Melissa Fisher; sons, Gerry Shover, Michael Shover, and Christopher Shover; grandchildren, Robert (Cassie) Dearth, Steven Shover, Angelica Shover, Crystal Shover, Nicole Westfall, Brittany (Steven) Daniels, Jeremy Shover, Grace Fisher, Samuel Fisher, Sara Fisher, Austin Shover, Alex Shover, Luna Shover, Nathaniel Shover, Noah Shover, Gracelyn Shover, and Aleeah Shover; great-grandchildren, Winston, Vivienne, Hunter, Alex, Chloe, Joel, Arya, Bella, Adelyn, and Skylar; and sisters, Madonna (Steve) Hesket, Ruth Moody, Elizabeth Nelson, and Cindy (Jeff) Moody.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Glen Shover; parents, Floyd and Kathrine Brooks; son, Steven Shover; siblings, Gary Brooks, Ronald Brooks, and 2 infant brothers; and grandson, Clinton Dearth.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio, with Rev. John Butcher officiating. Burial will follow at Glouster Cemetery in Glouster Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
