Mary
(Bertha Russell) Lawson, 88, of Hillsboro, Ohio passed away March 26,
2018 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, Ohio.
Bert was born November 16, 1929 in Middleport, Ohio to Charles D. and
Phyllis P. Russell.
Surviving are sons, Chuck Morgan of Albany, and Roger Morgan of
Gallipolis; daughters, Vonnie (Daniel) Hunter of Circleville, Doris
(Loren) Waits of Hillsboro, and Connie Morgan of Gallipolis;
step-daughters, Joyce (Randall) Dotson of Columbus, and Penny (Bruce)
Hurley of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 15
great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gertrude (Harve) Ferrell, Veronica
(Elmer) Robinson, and Judith (Kennith) Knight; and special friend,
Jeanette Robinson.
Bert was preceded in death by her parents, Charles D. and Phillis P.
Russell; husband of 30 years, Ray Lawson; son, Willard G. Morgan;
brothers, Donald L. Russell, and Alvin Russell; sisters, Ruth Russell,
Jylonda Allen, and Diana Hersman; and grandchildren Keith A. Travis,
Tessa Y. Mills, and Rhonda L. Travis.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the
Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman
officiating. Burial was in Field of Honor Cemetery, Canal Winchester,
Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Thursday March 29, 2018 from 12:00 pm to
time of service.
