Maxwell F. Farley, age 81, passed away in his home in Logan, Ohio surrounded by his loving family on March 4, 2025.
Maxwell was born August 29, 1943, in Holden, WV to Virgie and Freeland Farley. Maxwell spent 12 years working at SMEADS, 25 years at GE, and the telephone company later. He spent 5 years in the army proudly serving his country in active duty, 3 years in reserve service, and 3 years on guard duty as a radio operator and an anti-aircraft gunman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Evelean Farley; daughter, Annette (Glen) Crozier; son, Maxwell J. (Mary) Farley; grandchildren, Nichole (Nicholas) Richard’s, Nathan (Hilary) Farley, Bailey (Josh) Price, Brandi (Jake) Smithhissler, Brittany (Dan) Joyce, Stacey Crozier, and Ashley Kanode; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and brother, Herbert Farley.
Maxwell was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lynn Farley; parents; brothers; and sisters.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 8, 2025, at Workman’s Cemetery located at 46 Panther Branch Road in Branchland, WV with Mike Abshire officiating.
Calling hours were observed from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday March 6, 2025, and from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday March 7, 2025, at Maxwell’s home located at 31690 Logan Horns Mill Road in Logan, Ohio.
Arrangements are by the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio.
