Michael “Mike” Earl Hard, age 63, of Logan, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on the early morning of June 14, 2021. He passed on peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends.
Mike was born January 1, 1958 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Kenneth and Nadina Hard. He worked for many years in retail. Mike and his beloved wife Judy, owned Autumn Ridge Cabins, Wind Chime Shop, and Christmas Treasures. He then started Hocking Hills Candle Works, which was his favorite and where his passion shined bright. The customers called him a scentologist and anyone that asked how he was doing; his response was always ‘peachy.’ His faith in God is what motivated his life.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Hard and mother Nadina “Nickie” Hard.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Judy Hard; children, Angela (Jason) Merckling and Jimmie (Jessie) McCoy; grandchildren, Dacoyta, Cooper, Jimmie III., Carter, and MaKaylee; sister, Susan (Bruce) Ristow; and many loving and supportive family, friends, and special people in their lives.
Calling hours were observed from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday June 17, 2021 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio and from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. on Friday June 18, 2021 at the Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Grove City, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 11:00A.M., Friday June 18, 2021, at the Beautiful Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Grove City, Ohio with Pastor Thomas Meissner officiating. Burial followed at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
