Michael James Malcom, age 42, of South Bloomingville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Friday October 28, 2022.
Michael is survived in death by his wife, Alisha Rinee Malcolm of Londonderry, Ohio; step daughters, Kaitlyn and Autumn Sheets of Londonderry, Ohio; brothers, Charles (Jeannie) Malcolm of Sardinia, Ohio and Chad (Beth) Malcolm of South Bloomingville, Ohio; sisters, Charlena Malcolm-Conway of Albany, Ohio and Tracy (Danny Chalfant) Malcolm of Glouster, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michael is proceeded in death by his parents, Charles Roy and Rose Marie Malcolm; uncles, James Malcolm, Chris Malcolm, and David Malcolm; aunts, Mary Exner and Kathy Justice; grandparents, Okie Malcolm, Wanda Malcolm, William Mesares, and Dorothy Mesares; and infant son, Evan Riley Harden.
Michael was an experienced tree climber and trimmer with 20+ years of experience. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed arrowhead hunting with his brother Chad and cousin Randy Hogue. Michael also enjoyed fishing and riding four wheelers with his brother Chad and some friendly competition when the opportunity arose. There was always competition when Chad, Randy, and Mikey were together. Mikey was so loved and cherished by everyone who knew him. He touched the hearts and left lasting memories on those around him.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Brown Funeral Home in Murray City, Ohio. Burial followed at Beach Grove Cemetery, Shawnee, Ohio.
Calling hours were 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the funeral home.
In leu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the funeral home to help with expenses.
