Misty Dawn Way 30, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away July 13, 2017 in Hocking County, Ohio. Misty was born August 4, 1986 in Athens, Ohio. She was a graduate of Athens High School. She is a daughter of Christy and Mick Hart of Athens. She is also survived by her son, Connor Kimmey and very special companion of 11 years, Elmer Kimmey, both of Nelsonville, and his children, J.R., Travis, Trevor Kimmey of Logan and his grandchild Kole. Also surviving are her brothers, Michael Wayne Hart and Richard Way Jr.; grandmothers, Mary Woodrum of Nelsonville and JoAnn Hart of Athens; biological grandparents, Ronnie and Lenora Way of Chauncey; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; special friends, Donna Stufflebeam, Joy Withem, Jennifer Bateman, Brooke Harmon, Rachael Six, Don Williams, Robbie Kimmey, John and Nancy Kimmey, and Jeff Adams; aunt, April Way; her MUD BOG family; biological father, Richard Way; and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Misty was preceded in death by her infant child; grandfathers, Dave Woodrum and Lloyd Simonton; uncle, David Woodrum Jr.; great-grandmother, Margaret Legg; and her companion’s father, Elmer Kimmey Sr. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and one hour prior to service on Wednesday, all at the funeral home.
