Nancy L. Carter, age 69, of New Plymouth, Ohio, passed away November 17, 2019 at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.
Nancy was born December 6, 1949 in Logan, Ohio to Edison G. Turner and Mildred G. (Rafferty) Turner. She was a 1967 graduate of Starr-Washington High School; she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid reader. Nancy didn’t lose this fight, she won! She is in a more beautifiul place than we can ever imagine.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Stephen Carter; children, William “Willy” Conkle, Steve “Grant” (Sierra) Carter, and Kimberly (Josh) Brown; grandchildren, Bridgett and Curtis Conkle, Shane and Logan Meek, and Carter and Owen Brown; brother Ron (Aloma) Turner; sister Kay Cook; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Frank Conkle; brother Richard Turner; and sister-in-law Mary Turner.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. James Mathias officiating. Burial was in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, and on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM to time of service at the funeral home.
