Noah J. Fouty Jr., 86, of Athens, Ohio passed away April 21, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Noah was born March 8, 1930 in Nelsonville to Noah J. Fouty Sr. and Loretta Fouty. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict; he retired in 1987 from Asplundh; life member of the Plains VFW; and member of the Elks Lodge in Nelsonville. Surviving are his daughter, Teresa Ann (Brian) Sweeney of Logan; brothers, Larry (Barb) Fouty of McConnellsville, and Jerry Fouty of Buchtel; sisters-in-law, Judy Sheppard of Port Clinton, Ohio, Anita Fouty of Nelsonville, Roberta Fouty of Glouster and Elaine Savely of Nelsonville; special friend Stephanie McClelland of Glouster; and several nieces and nephews. Noah was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Amelia Fouty; brothers, Don, Gail, Bob, and Richard Fouty; sister, Ruth Bentley; and sister-in-law, Lou Fouty. Funeral services were held 11:00am Monday April 25, 2016 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio, where Military graveside services were conducted by the Combined Color Guard. Calling hours were observed Sunday 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. Elks Memorial service was held Sunday at 7:30pm at the funeral Home.
