Peggy Sue Freer, age 65, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away June 24, 2023, at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio.
Peggy was born February 15, 1958, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Raymond Humphrey and Martha Cottrill Humphrey.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her dedication and passions were her 4-H club and Poston 4-H Team II. Her love for children was great.
Surviving are her husband, Mike Freer; daughters, Carrie (Steven) Powell of Nelsonville and Autumn (Mitchell) Dyke of Tennessee; sons, Michael (Beth) Freer of Florida and Christopher (Stacey) Freer of Springfield; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Pam) Humphrey and Bret Humphrey; sister, April Humphrey; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Martin Humphrey; mother-in-law, Norma Godenschwager; sister-in-law, Christy (Richard) Lehman; and brothers-in-law, Jeff Freer, David Freer, Steve Freer, and Von Godenschwager.
Graveside services were held at 11 am Saturday July 1, 2023, at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
