Philip B. DeLong, age 86, of Logan, Ohio passed from his earthly home on Sunday, January 8, 2023, with family by his side.
Philip was born December 27, 1936, in Redfield, Ohio. He was the son of the late Philip Bowers DeLong and Ada Lavina (Eppley) DeLong.
Surviving are his children, Philip B. (Sandie) DeLong, Debra (Timothy) Bookman, Stephen (Loreen) DeLong, and Anthony DeLong; grandchildren, Timothy (Julie) Bookman, David Bookman, Tiffani Travis, Melissa (Glen) Burchfield, Grace DeLong, and Heather (Paul) Zimmerman; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. DeLong; sister, Eunice Jones; and grandson, Philip Michael DeLong.
He attended Capstone Life Tabernacle and was a retired machinist at Diamond Power in Lancaster, Ohio. He dearly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved serving the Lord most of all.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 West Main Street, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Stephen DeLong officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
