Ralph “Brownie” M. Brown, age 91, of Athens, Ohio, passed away to be with his Lord on February 13, 2025, at Hickory Creek of Athens in The Plains, Ohio.

Ralph was born on August 4, 1933, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Weldon and Wilma Brown. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and participating in Enduro competitions. Additionally, Ralph took pleasure in mowing his lawn and listening to gospel music. He attended McDougal Church, where he contributed by operating sound equipment for the church and other events.

Surviving are his loving wife, Mary E. Brown; children, Melvin Brown, Jeff (Laura) Brown; 6 grandchildren, Ray, John, Amy, Hunter, Alex, and Dalton; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous friends including, Oscar (Kaye) Carson; and dog, Kaci.

Ralph was preceded in death by parents, Weldon and Wilma Brown; first wife, Mary Jane and baby; and several relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Stanley Strode officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery in Athens, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed from 10AM-11AM on Monday, February 17, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
