Richard Allen Phillips Sr, age 70, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away November 19, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Richard was born June 7, 1950 in Nelsonville, Ohio to John and Margaret Phillips. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Nelsonville; and loved Bingo and the Lottery.
Surviving are his children, Richard (Mary) Phillips Jr., Floyd (Christel) Phillips, and Michelle (James) Hoops; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine Bennett, Linda (Bob) Smathers, and Janet Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his lifelong partner Barbara Woodrum Tigner, who passed away November 18, 2020; and 2 brothers.
Funeral services were held at 12 noon, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed from 11am to 12noon, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
Masks and social distancing are required to attend the funeral and calling hours.
