Richard E. Burchfield, 69, of Logan, Ohio passed away November 2, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.
Richard was born July 27, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to William and Dorothy Burchfield. He owned Affortable Septic in Logan and Burchfield’s Commercial Roof Repair in Columbus; member of the First Church Praise & Worship Center in Logan; loved making walking sticks and giving them away to others; and liked to hunt and fish.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Diane Burchfield of Logan; children, Jeffrey Burchfield of Baltimore and Laura (Tim) Reitz of Cardington; grandchildren, Jodi, Joseph, and Alexis; step-grandchildren, Rayah and T.J.; sister Linda (Rex) Hazlett of Westerville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brother Arthur Burchfield; and sister Ruth Ann Burchfield.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio officiated by Rev. Michael Martin.
Calling hours were observed Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 4-7 pm and Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 12:00 Noon to time of service.
