Rickie Howdyshell age 66 of Logan, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Doctor’s Hospital West in Columbus, Ohio. Rickie was born March 3, 1957, in Logan, Ohio to Walter (Tate) Howdyshell and Linda Shepherd. He was enlisted in the Army after high school, and was honorable discharged due to a mental illness. Rickie is now home pain free, no longer suffering with his mental illness.
Rickie is survived by his son; Joel Howdyshell of Marietta; brother, Kevin Howdyshell of Logan; sister, Amy (Dennis) Kehl of Logan; stepfather, Dave Shepherd of Logan; aunts, Norma Palmer and Lorraine Howdyshell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rickie was proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Davis; brother-in-law, Bruce Davis; and grandparents, Dewey and Audra Howdyshell.
Calling hours were observed Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 11:00 – 1:00 P.M with services following at 1:00 P.M., with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio. Burial at Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, at a later date.
