Robert Earl Coakley, 83, of Buchtel, Ohio passed away May 5, 2018 at Winchester Place, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Robert was born August 25, 1934 in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated the former Independent TV in Buchtel; and was a former mayor of Buchtel. Surviving are his son, Brian (Kelly) Coakley of Canal Winchester; daughter, Debbie Coakley of Buchtel; companion, Laura Klinebriel of Nelsonville; 5 grandchildren; brothers, John Weston of Canton, Jim Weston of Racine, Ed “Butch” Smith of Nelsonville, and Bill Weston of Tampa, Florida. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Flossie Smith; and sisters, Jennie Smith, and Helen Smith. Funeral services were held at 7 pm Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling Hours were held on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Funeral Home.
