Robert L. “Bob” Beck

Robert L. “Bob” Beck, age 87, of Logan, Ohio, passed away October 17, 2022, at the Carlin House, Logan, Ohio.

Bob was born May 14, 1935, in Jersey, Ohio to Lloyd and Blanche Beck. He was a member of the Logan Lions, the Ewing Grange, the Logan Moose, and was a lifetime member of the Logan Amvets. Bob started off building dorms in Athens, then he opened an operated Bob’s Westgate Sohio Station till 1986. He then opened Bob’s Auto Wrecking Service till he retired in 1997. He was an avid auction attender.                   

Surviving are daughters, Trina (Marty Roop) Wisecarver of Logan, Tanya Beck of Logan, and Terri (Tracy Lindsey) Beck of Logan; grandchildren, Kaley Beck, Austen Poling, Jacob Wisecarver, Levi Wisecarver, and Chance Miller; great-grandchildren, Makenzly Wisecarver, Waylon Wisecarver, and Eleanor Poling; sister Pauline Joan Fink of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy Beck; infant daughter, Tonda Beck; infant great-grandson, Archer Poling; and siblings, Donald Beck, Sylvester Beck, Lloyd Beck, Floyd Beck, Wallace Beck, Jerry Beck, Billy Beck, and Nellie Spada.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Jane Beatty officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio. A graveside military service was held by the Hocking County Honor Guard.

Calling hours were observed on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with a Moose Service at 7:00 pm and Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the funeral home from 10:00 am to time of service.
