Rodney L. Satterfield, age 62, of The Plains, Ohio, formerly of Parkersburg, WV, passed away November 3, 2020 at Hickory Creek of Athens, The Plains, Ohio.
Rodney was born September 1, 1958 in Parkersburg, WV to Sinsel “Duke” Satterfield and Florence Satterfield. He graduated from Pennsboro High School; enjoyed time working at The Point of View Restaurant; loved to tell stories and make people laugh; always had a smile on his face; was a hard worker; and a great friend.
Surviving are his siblings, Ruth Collins, Betty Jo Boley, Terry Satterfield (Wendy), Diana Freeland (Terry), Doug Satterfield, Connie Hurst (Jim), Barbara Hite, Roger Satterfield, and Dave Satterfield; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Due to Covid, a private service will be held at a later date with Martin “Bud” Corbin officiating.
Arrangements are by Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio.
