Velma Harrison Konkler, of Rushville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2021 at Country Lane Gardens Rehabilitation, Thornville, Ohio. She went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 86 years, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Velma was born May 16, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to Hubert Holbrook and Nellie McCarty Holbrook.
Surviving are her children, Cheryl, Sara, Jodi, Jennifer, Charlin, and Charlie; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Woody, Tom, and Kenny Holbrook.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 5 years, Jerry B. Konkler; her loved ones, Harry Wyman, and Charlie Harrison; children, Patricia Randolph, Harry “Joe” Wyman Jr., and Mellody Lottridge; grandson Ronnie Chapman; siblings, Don Wilson, Paul Holbrook, and Millie “Mouse” Hines; and 3 sisters-in-law, Linda, Gina, and Jackie.
Death may have taken her away from us, but, it could never take away her memories. Velma will always be in the hearts of family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure to know her. Rest in Peace.
Graveside services were held at 12 noon on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Thursday 3-4 pm at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, ohio.
