Ruth “Hippie” Barlow-McDonald, 65, of Murray City, Ohio passed away February 6, 2017 at her residence. Ruth was born November 21, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to Skelt and Evelyn Scott. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary; member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary; and member of the Humane Society. Surviving are Timothy W. McDonald of Murray City; daughter, Belinda Lynn Hay of Norfolk, VA; 3 grandsons; brother, Robert Boyd Scott of Arcade, GA; and special friend Tabitha Wolfe of Murray City. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Brown Funeral Home Murray City, Ohio with Pastor Tim Poling officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Murray City, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
