Ruth “Jane” Burley, 62, of Logan, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, September 2, 2015 at her residence. Ruth was born October 20, 1952 in Logan, Ohio to James L. and Thelma P. Taylor. She attended several area churches including the Saltcreek Church in Laurelville; enjoyed several over seas mission trips; and was an active volunteer in the community. Surviving are her children, Kristinia Metcalf, James Fletcher, Jaala (Johnny) Perry and Clint Carpenter; grandchildren, Jonathon Metcalf, Jennifer (Jeremy) Cundiff, Joseph Metcalf, Dakota Castle, Taylor Perry, and Tanner Perry; brothers, Clarence (Helen) Taylor of Florida and Ray (Kathy) Taylor of Buchtel; sisters, Ida Wachenschwanz of Millfield, Eileen Todd of Logan, Margaret Jackson of Chauncey, and Marie (Kenny) Keirns of Grove City; sister-in-law Connie Taylor of Chauncey; several nieces and nephews; and many other precious family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, James and Thelma Taylor; brother James “Richard” Taylor; and son-in-law, Mark R. Metcalf. Funeral services were held 12:00 noon Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Jimmy Vandagraff officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Friday 5-8 pm at the funeral home. After the service and burial on Saturday, family and friends gathered at the Shriner’s Hall in The Plains.
