Sheila J. Brady Hartley, age 80, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away April 22, 2024, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio, surrounded by her loved ones.
Sheila was born October 1, 1943, in Logan, Ohio, to Don Brady and Marcel Whitmore. Sheila was a member of the Nelsonville VFW and used to attend Asbury United Methodist Church before her health decline. She was an avid euchre player and lived for TV gameshows.
Surviving are her 5 children, Tammie Bentley, Zella (Scott Ward) Easterling, Gary (Teri Finegan) Easterling, Sheila (Jason Lyons) Taggart, and Doug (Billie Jo Miller) Fuller; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 8 siblings, Willard (Barb) Whitmore, Ruth Yager, Lenna (Kevin) Rowe, Charlie (Alice) Whitmore, Carla (Frank) Kopczynski, Ed (Debbie) Terwilliger, Steve (Diane) Terwilliger, and Jenny (Dean) Berry; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Whitmore and Judi Whitmore; close special friends, Roxie “OLD B”, Darlene, Sylvia, and Nancy; and grand-dog, Gucci.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Don (Doris) Brady and Marcel (Harold) Whitmore; son, Howard Lee Easterling; siblings, Jim (Judy) Brady, Ben (Terry) Whitmore, and John Whitmore; and brother-in-law, Alvin Yager.
Calling hours were observed 4 – 6 P.M. on Saturday April 27, 2024, and 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Sunday April 28, 2024, prior to the service at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday April 28, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Cremation followed the services.
There was a dinner at the Nelsonville VFW following the service.
