Shirley Kay Beck, 87 years of Logan, Ohio, passed away Monday October 21, 2024. She was born February 18, 1937, in Long Bottom, Ohio to Archie R. Sr. and Carrie M. Schultz Brooks. Shirley was the widow of Norman Billy Beck who was deceased on December 10, 2009.
Shirley was a member of the South Logan Church of Christ. She enjoyed going to church and the fellowship with her sisters and brothers in Christ. Shirley spent her life enjoying her grandkids, cats, flowers, and random rides. She loved getting out and about. She always had a smile for others.
Surviving are her children, Diane (Mike) Geil of Logan, Bruce Beck of Logan, and Todd Beck of Lancaster; brother, Jack (Shirley) Brooks of Logan; grandchildren, Corey Beck, Kendall Beck, Kelsey Sexton, Greg Manter, Nathan Geil, Tyler Geil, Tanner Geil, Joe Poling, Echo Andy, Amber Cramer, Brian Beck, Nathan Beck, and Trevor Beck; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Mike Poling.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Beck and daughter, Tammy Poling.
Funeral services were held at 11 am Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio with Minister Keith Kress officiating. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Rockbridge, Ohio.
Visitation was 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
