“Smoky” Earl R. Hamilton, age 71, of Malta, Ohio, passed away December 26, 2021, comfortably on hospice at home.
Earl was born August 19, 1950 to Earl and Dorotha Jean Hamilton. Earl had a good life and touched many lives over the years to so many people. He was a proud veteran and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He went back to school to get his Associates of Arts and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Earl also, donated regularly to St. Jude’s Hospital after his fight with cancer. His family remembers spending time with him hunting for arrow heads and meteorites. He loved to fish and hunt, but most of all, he loved to write poetry.
Surviving are his several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special friends Rob and Donna Murry; and 2 dogs, O.G. and Button.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorotha Hamilton; brothers, David Lee Hamilton and Paul Richard Hamilton; sisters, Phyllis Jean Hamilton, Ethel Faye Hamilton, and Barbara Hamilton; and special nephew, Mike Moody.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home in Murray City, Ohio. A private burial took place at Carbon Hill Cemetery.
