Steve Deel

Steve Deel 66, of Logan, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Embassy of Logan. He was born May 18, 1958, in Davenport, VA to Earl and Ivanell Breeding Deel. He was married for 33 years to Tammy Tackett Deel, who survives.

Steve enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and flying radio-controlled airplanes. He was a member of the Flying Fork Radio-Controlled Airplane Club, and a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group. He graduated from Teays Valley High School and attended Eastland Career Center, where he earned his Auto Body Technician Certification. He worked at various Auto Body Shops, before he opened his own business. He was owner of Deel’s body Shop and Cycle Parts.

In addition to his wife, Tammy, he is survived by his mother, Ivanell Breeding Deel of Logan; sister, Pam (Daryl) Hall of Logan; daughter, Jennifer Brown Oney (Scott Mulvey) of Logan; grandchildren, Austin Brown, Mackinze Oney, Landen Mulvey, Aiden Mulvey, Gabriel Southern, and Dalton (Dax) Eason; great-grandchildren, Amilia and Emmett Brown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike (Pam) Tackett of Nelsonville; and several nieces & nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Earl Deel; daughter, Bobbie Sue Deel; sister-in-law, Judy Pickett; and father-in-law & mother-in-law, William (Bill) and Doris McKnight Tackett.

It was Steve’s wishes to be cremated and no services to be held. In lieu of a funeral, there will be a celebration of life gathering at a later date.

Arrangements are by Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio.

The family would like to thank Embassy of Logan and Shriver’s Hospice for all of the wonderful care and support they provided for Steve.
