Susan L. Marteney, age 73, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away January 15, 2025 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Susan was born March 18, 1951 in Elkton, Maryland to Henry Cook and Mildred Kelly Cook .

Surviving are her children Christopher Cook of Pickerington, Jim R. Marteney of Lancaster, Katherine Marteney of Lancaster; grandchildren Cailan Cook, Donovin, Rose Likens, Rosaleigh Bennett; great-grandchild Aiden Cook; sisters Judy Flood of Logan, Linda (Sonny) Ferguson; brother Phillip Cook of Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jimmy Marteney; son Jason Marteney; and a brother Michael Cook.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon, Friday, January 24, 2025 at the First Church Praise and Worship Center in Logan, Ohio with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours will be observed 6-8pm Thursday at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with Susan’s funeral expenses.
