Thelma Wright Moody, 81, of Hollister, Ohio
passed away June 17, 2017 at her residence.
Thelma was born January 19, 1936 in Jordan Mine, Virginia to Rufus and Marie
Wright. She was a member of the Glouster Mission and the Bethel Mission.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Carl Moody, whom she married on March 3,
1951; children, Dianna (Elijah) Brooks of Hollister, Ricky Moody of Hollister,
Keith (Phyllis) Moody of Athens, Terry Moody of Hollister, Jeffrey (Cindy)
Moody of Salisbury, NC, Trina (Doug) Witham of The Plains, and Tina (Bill)
Spencer of Albany; 83 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Ralph (Diana) Wright of Columbus.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Moody; brother, Robert
Wright; and sisters, Edith Allan, and Delma Lenigar.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at the Brown
Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Elijah Brooks, Rev. Jeff Moody, and
Rick Moody officiating. Burial was at the Hollister Cemetery, Hollister,
Ohio
Calling hours were observed Monday 6-8 pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the
funeral home.
