Timothy Paul Wagner, 76 of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2024, surrounded by family. Tim was born April 9, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, to Bernard Paul “Pig” Wagner & Mary Maxine McDonald Wagner, who preceded him in death. Tim will be laid to rest next to his loving wife of 18 years, Joan L. Powell Wagner in Amesville, Ohio. The family will be doing a graveside & Color Guard service at the Amesville Cemetery on September 14, 2024, at 12 noon.
Tim was a 1966 graduate of York High School where he was a stellar athlete & was loved by all his friends. He attended Beckly College in West Virginia on a Basketball Scholarship. Tim proudly served his Country in Vietnam from 1969-1971& was a highly decorated Soldier.
He is survived by his daughter, Marcie Wagner and her sons, Jacob (Rachel) Wagner & Joshua Wagner; stepdaughter, Jerri Lynn Wright and her son, Kenny (Tonya) McClellan; stepsons, Scott (Leslie)Mecum & Brian Mecum and their families; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins; and sisters, Libby (Tim) Watkins of Nelsonville and Laurie (Paul) Reed of Middleport.
Arrangements are by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
