Tracy Lane Whitney, 62, of Athens, Ohio, formerly of Sand Run Rd. Nelsonville, passed away February 25, 2018 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. Tracy was born July 21, 1955 in Barberton, Ohio to Donald and Forrest Whitney. He formerly worked at Hocking Valley Industries in Logan and ATCO Workshop in Athens. Surviving are his brothers, Keith (Nancy) Whitney of Nelsonville, Rick (Tawna) Whitney of Florida; sister-in-law, Helen Whitney of Alabama; and 11 nieces and nephews. Tracy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Donald Wayne Whitney and Brent Whitney. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. David Edgell officiating. Calling hours were observed Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
