Valerie L. Six

Valerie L. Six, age 65, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away September 30, 2022 at her residence.

Valerie was born August 28, 1957 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Muriel Woodrum and Beverly Jean Wade Woodrum. She retired after several years at South Eastern Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville; was  involved in many church activities and with The Pilgrim Heirs christian music group; helped people at the jail earn their GED’s; helped with church activities at the jail; loved spending time with her family.                   

Surviving are her husband of 49 years Jody H. Six; children Jody L. (Kimberly) Six of Nelsonville, Jeffrey (Pam) Six of Athens; Jennifer (Chris) Boggs of Glouster; brother Floyd Woodrum of Nelsonville; grandchildren Dana, Jessica, Cassie, Sierra, Kayla, Dawson, Davin; step-grandchildren Jared, Shawna Genia, Robbie: and multiple great-grandchildren.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents; sister Vickie Johnson.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday October 5, 2022, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Larry Swart officiating. Burial was in Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 4-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with Valerie’s funeral expenses.
