Virginia “Sue” Breeze Pidcock passed away at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on February 5, 2023, at the age of 81. Born in Nelsonville, Ohio to Harry and Martha Breeze, Sue was a life-long member of the community. A fiercely loyal mother, grandmother, and sister; she is loved and greatly missed.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thurman, Joe, and Harry “Hop” Breeze; and her sister, Beverly Swaim.
Sue is survived by her only daughter, her pride and joy, Teresa Pidcock Burnette and son-in-law, David Burnette. She loved her three grandchildren and was an ever-present, loving force in their lives. They are Shannon Freed of Dublin, Ohio, David (Emily) Burnette of Lancaster, Ohio, and Brandon (Sierra) Burnette of Nelsonville, Ohio.
Sue’s heart was stolen by her six great grandchildren, who she always loved seeing. They are Atticus, Adalyn, and Ardenne Freed of Dublin, Ohio and Quinn, Nora, and Beau Burnette of Lancaster, Ohio. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Pammy Mourne and Margie (Gordon) McLaughlin; as well as many special nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 2 to 5 pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Funeral services were on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. A potluck lunch followed at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.
