Ward Cobb Swift III, age 65, of Logan, Ohio, passed away November 27, 2023, at his home.
Ward was born September 8, 1958, in South Weymouth, Massachusetts to Ward Cobb Swift Jr. and Janet A. Swift.
Ward enjoyed going hiking, camping, and fishing. He also enjoyed writing poetry. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico, he most recently worked as a case manager for Athens Behavioral Health.
Surviving are his father, Ward Cobb Swift Jr.; sisters, Sue (Tony Motta) Schmitter-Motta and Jennifer (Gus Bitar) Swift; nieces, Emma (Kieth) Wright, Karly (Casey) White, and Summar Swift-Bitar; great-nephew, Owen White; great-niece, Eliza White; and several cousins.
Ward was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Swift, and by his aunts and uncles.
Per the wishes of Ward, there was a simple cremation with burial to follow at a future date in Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association.
