William
Earl Brooks Sr., 80, of Logan, Ohio passed away July 28 2018 at
Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio. William was born may 28 1938
in Logan, Ohio to Howard Dewey Brooks and Anna Jean (Waldron) Brooks. He
was a life long carpenter; retired from Carborundum in Logan; a life
long musician, enjoying his music and guitars; was a collector of
guitars; loved riding his Harleys; and he enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving are his son, William Earl Brooks Jr. of Rockbridge; daughters,
Lisa Jean (John) Slone of Flemingsburg, KY, and Gina Maria (Jack)
Stelzer of Delaware; grandchildren, Adam William (Traci) Brooks, Emily
Allison (Dustin) Anderson, Maria Nichole’ Slone, Andrea Renee’ Slone,
and Amanda Nichole’ Stelzer; great-grandchildren, Carson Trey Hane,
twins, Carley Renae Brooks and Chloe Rae Brooks, Tayler Brooks Anderson,
Maxwell Bently Anderson, and twins, Alyviah Reign Slone and Sophiah
Jade Slone; and sister Shirley Ruth (John) Switzer of Logan.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Mary
Freeman, Margaret Kishler, Lee-Roy Brooks, Howard J. “Duke” Brooks,
Clarence Brooks, and Sharon Rose Toney.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Friday August 3, 2018 at
Heinlein-Brown funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Knollwood
Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
