William M. Gray, age 65, of Athens, Ohio, passed away March 8, 2025, at Riverside United Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

William was born on October 29, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio to Denver and Sharlene Gray. He had an interest in muscle cars, classic rock music, watching the Buckey’s play, and watching drag racing at National Trails. He also attended concerts when he was in better health.

Surviving are his sons, Mark Gray Jr. and Jeremy Gray; grandchildren, Alice, Job, Piper, and Willow; step-granddaughter, Haley; brothers, Denver Gray and Mike (Lisa) Gray; aunt, Suzie Willman; uncles, Bob Deem, Junior Deem, and Jimmy Deem; cousin, Alice Montgomery; cat, Spook; and many special friends over the years.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Sharlene Gray, and brother, Jim Gray.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio, prior to cremation.

Calling hours were observed from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family is accepting donations through the funeral home to help with final expenses.
