William Rutter

William Dwayne Rutter, 69, of Logan, Ohio passed away September 3, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Central, Lancaster, Ohio. William was born October 3, 1948 in Fairfield County, Ohio to Oscar and Margaret Rutter. He served in the US Army, doing two tours of duty in Vietnam; retired from Ralston Foods in Lancaster, after more than 30 years; member of the Church of God in Logan; enjoyed working hard; and was a very giving man. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Joyce Rutter; daughters, Heather Michelle White of Washington Court House and Eryan White of Ashland, Ohio; step-sons, Eli Irvin Cordle and Richard Neil Cordle, both of Logan; grandchildren, Elisha, Destiny, Kayla Jane, Isaac, and Tyler; siblings, Linda Alberry of Thurston, Gary Rutter of Newark and Ann Sudlow of Logan; and several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Oscar Rutter, Glen Rutter, Chris Rutter, Arthur Rutter and Richard Rutter; and a sister, Diane Richards. Funeral services were held at 10 am, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Virgil Phillips officiating. Burial was in Floral Hills Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio where Military Graveside services were held by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Calling hours were observed Thursday 6-8 pm at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio.
