William W. “Bill” Evans Jr., 70, of Logan passed away March 25, 2023, at The Pickering House in Lancaster after an extended illness. Bill was born October 31, 1952 in Logan, Ohio and was the son of the late William W. and Gevevieve B. (Fiume) Evans.
He was a graduate of Logan High School and Ohio University. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a Paramedic for Hocking County EMS. He was also previously employed by Proctor and Gamble.
Bill is survived by his children, Ashleigh (Sam) Lauria of Connecticut and Patrick (Erin) Evans of Arizona; grandchildren, Max and Kendall Lauria, and James Evans; sister, Rita (Steve) Barron; brother, Ric (Cindy) Evans; niece, Kelly (Mike Holcomb) Barron-Holcomb; nephew, Nic (Lauren) Evans; great-nieces, Maysen and Meyer Evans; aunt, Clara Greiner; and several cousins.
Bill was proceeded in death by his parents; paternal and maternal grandparents; and infant sister, Kathy Lyn Evans.
Per the request of Bill, arrangements are for a simple cremation with no services by the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio. Burial following cremation will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
