Willie Fields Eaton, 80, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away September 8, 2024, at her home. She was born to Shade and Lena Smith Fields on October 2, 1943, in Jonesville, Virginia.
Willie worked many jobs throughout her life, finally retiring in 2015 from U.T. Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her 8 children; 26 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson. She loved working with her flowers and cooking for her family and friends. She owned her own restaurant in Ewing, Virginia before moving to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1983.
Proceeding her in death was her mother and father; sister, Rosslee Parsons; nephew, Harold Jayness; and daughter, Danielle Davis.
She is survived by her children, Randolph (Joyce) Snodgrass of Tazewell, Tennessee, Jeffrey (Maria) Snodgrass of Nelsonville, Ohio, Lynn Loy of Knoxville, Tennessee, Robin (Rich) Coombs of Powell, Tennessee, Jerold Eaton of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Rebecca (Carl) Eubanks of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Robert Eaton of Rogersville, Tennessee.
Visitation was at the Christian Fellowship Church, Logan, Ohio, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with a service following at 7:30 PM, with Pastor Jeff Snodgrass officiating.
There was also visitation and service at Robinette Funeral Home, Jonesville, Virginia, on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM with funeral services following at 8 PM.
Interment was Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Spangler-Minor Cemetery in Jonesville, VA.
