Sharon Kay Barkie, age 66, of The Plains, Ohio, passed away April 11, 2024, at Hickory Creek, The Plains, Ohio.
Sharon was born September 26, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio to Anthony Sr. and Leona Barkie. Sharon loved playing cards, Bingo, and various other games. She enjoyed making pot holders as a hobby.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Pat Barkie; nieces, Barb (Randy) Dodridge and Judy Cooper; and other extended family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Sr. and Leona Ragaski; sister, Donna Thiel; brother, Allan Barkie; nephew, Sam “Buckwheat” Barkie; and nephew-in-law, George Cooper Jr.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday April 16, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Randy Dodridge officiating. The burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield, Ohio.
Calling hours will be observed 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday April 16, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
