Lafe Rodney Barnett Jr., 36, of Logan, Ohio passed away June 6, 2018 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Lafe was born March 31, 1982 in Logan, Ohio. He loved his job as a bodyman at Stevens Auto and Collisions Shop in Union Furnace; loved to ride his motorcycle; and liked to fish and be on a boat at the river. Family was important to Lafe and he cherished his time with his children and family. Surviving are his wife Shonnah Barnett of Logan; children, Taylor Barnett, Kya Michel, Isaiah Barnett, and Maddison Michel all of Logan; father Lafe Rick Barnett of McConnellsville; siblings, Lisa (Doug) Richards of Logan, Elizabeth (Toby) Skinner of McConnellsville, Naomi (Steven) Teal of Corning, Crystal (Steven) Malone of Blue Rock, Brandon Reed of Logan, Mark (Erin) Barnett of Canton, Kansas, Wendy Barnett of Logan, Diana (Allen) Little of Kilgore, TX, and Shawn (Nicole) Richards of McConnellsville; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Phil and Rosemary Stevens of Union Furnace. Lafe was preceded in death by his mother Susan Barnett and step-mother Melinda Barnett. Funeral services were held at 6:00 pm, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Phil Stevens officiating. Calling hours were observed Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 2:00 pm to time of service at the funeral home.
