Carl R. Young, age 81, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away February 17, 2022, at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.
Carl was born January 15, 1941, in Pickaway County, Ohio to John E. and Susie Young. He graduated from Walnut High School; was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed deer and mushroom hunting, and trapping; he was a heavy equipment operator; retired from Anchor Hocking after 35 plus years; and has many friends and was well known and loved by all.
Surviving are his daughters, Sheila (Jim) Boggs of Lancaster and Liesa (Charles) Kuhn of Amanda; sons, Carl Bryan (Carrie Smith) Young of Lancaster and Craig Young of Amanda; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Young; and several nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Dylan; 8 brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating.
Calling hours were observed on Friday, from 1 pm until the time of service.
