Herbert J. Rollins Sr.

Herbert Jack Rollins Sr. was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. On February 23rd, 2022, he made his entrance into heaven, while being surrounding by many of his loved ones, after 70 years of life, at Hickory Creek of Athens, The Plains, Ohio. Herbert was a hardworking man; he worked for everything and helped everyone. His helping hand will forever be missed.

Herbert was born May 30, 1951, in Princeton, WV to Jack and Virgie Rollins. Herbert loved ginseng hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren. He was known as Pawpaw Pepsi to the grandkids and loved to dance the night away.

Surviving are wife, Brenda Rollins; children, Herbert (Beth) Rollins Jr., Robin Withrow, Angel (Lonnie McKee) Rollins, and Tammy Miller; grandchildren, Mark (Brittany) Ray Jr., Jessica Ray, Cherikee Ringer, Jamie (Sarah) Rollins, Tiffany (A.J Capel) Rollins, Matthew Rollins, Heather Rollins, Morgan Heskett, and Cheyenne Heskett; great-grandchildren, Kinzlee Ringer, Gauge Ray, Ryder Ringer, Zander Rollins, and Ariyana Capel; brothers, Tim Whiteman and Frank Whiteman; 2 sisters, Nan Rollins and Donna Cozort; special mentions, Tracy, Barbara, Jack, Michael, Mark, Cory, and Andy; and beloved dog, Bob.

Herbert was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Virgie Rollins, and siblings, Pete Rollins, and Jackie Whiteman.

Calling hours were observed Saturday February 26, 2022, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm with a short prayer at 6:00 pm at the Warren Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio.  There was also a lunch served at the Nelsonville School Commons on Fayette Street, Nelsonville, Ohio from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday February 26, 2022.
